Shake 4 Jake

It's that time of year again, and we need your help!! Shake 4 Jake is upon us and we are gearing up. We would love to see your faces there so mark your calendar, the date is June 20th. There will be a golf tournament(on June 19th), 5k run, Jake's Jamboree(kids carnival), telethon, and of course the Shake, where there will be live music, a silent auction, live auction, raffle, buffet, spirits, and all the fun you can stand! We've turned it into a weekend extravaganza. Your sure to walk away INSPIRED!!!!!
We have helped over 150 families since we have opened our doors and people like you have opened your hearts. We've paid all sorts of things like rent, gas, utilities, we fix cars, we helped with transportation, and we've helped with just some much needed cash. Whatever the need, we try to our best to help. These families are very grateful and there are still too many out there that need our help. How can I help you ask? Well we need silent auction items, live auction items, gift box items, do you know someone who would like to sponsor? Think about it, do you have season tickets to something? Do you own a condo somewhere? Do you know someone who owns a business? Do you yourself have anything to offer? Do you want to donate a gift certificate from somewhere? Anything is appreciated.
I think you getthe point. We do this for the many families struggling with their day to day finances. Imagine having a sick child, trying to find ways to save his life, and having to worry about your bills too! You can help relieve some of the burden. Do it in memory of someone or to honor your own healthy children. What ever your inspiration, we would love your help. All donation can be mailed to JOR Foundation PO Box 3097 West Monroe, LA 71294. We would be happy to send you a tax receipt. BELIEVE

Jake & his entire family thanks you for your continued support and we hope to see you there!

OH! what beautiful faces I see on today's posting.... Maddiboo and Jakipoo.
I will certainly be donating something for the Shake 4 Jake auction once I get back to Canada, and I am hoping to make a repeat visit down to Louisiana for that weekend in June as well. I hope I'll be free to do so. I had so much fun 2 years ago.
You're all a wonderful, wonderful group of people who I admire so much. God bless you for helping out so many people in need.
Praying and always BELIEVING,
Denise

Oh what a great surprise to see that sweet face tonight! I just know that Jake is looking down on his family with a big 'ol grin on his face seeing all the good you all are doing for so many. I sure do wish we could peek in just to see what kind of antics he is up to. Praying for a great shake again this year!

We wouldn't miss it for anything. I marked my calander the day Mo posted the date on her blog. I even wrote about it on my blog that very night. We will be bringing more from Claiborne Parish this time. We had a great time last year and I know it will be just as great this year.

Oh, I'm so sad! I've tried to work it out to come the last two years and it just didn't happen. This year I know already I can't make that date. Stephanie is getting married again that day!

I'm so excited to hear of all the fantastic things happening through the foundation. What a wonderful way to honor that precious baby. We miss him. Love that sweet little face. He brought ALL of us believers together!

Good luck with Shake4Jake - you guys do such awesome work in honor of your boy!

Sure hope all the negative activity goes away SOON !!! I don't know what its all about - it really doesn't matter! - if you don't like what you read / see then just go away! WHAT a concept! I hate that they are ruining it for the rest of us! I only hope that they will find something - hopefully positive - to move on to and leave you girls alone! Tell Mo we miss her!

Hope baby girl is all betta now and you guys have a great weekend! The weather is supposed to be beautiful! I do love me some Springtime!!!!!!!

Hi Staci - My husband and I have been out of town for the week, so I checked in today for my "fix". Just what's going on with your comments isn't any of my business, but I felt compelled to let you know how much I enjoy your blog and how much I appreciate you sharing your life with all of us. Please keep sharing because there are people like me out there that truly feel connected to you and your family through this blog. I've been following since Jake first got sick and you started the Caring Bridge site. Of course I started following Mo's blog too. I've even won one of Mo's contests woowhoo! Anyway, I love hearing about you and your family, and like you said, if you don't like it, just don't read it! Period! Don't ruin it for the rest of us!
Love ya, Staci!

I have never signed in before because I didn't have an account - but I do now. I've been following you and your family for years and I did sign in several times on Jake's caring bridge site. We've never met but I feel like I know you and your sister and that we've been friends forever. I think praying for someone makes you feel close. Thank you for sharing your family with all of us! I love to read your blog and your sisters blog and hope she will invite me to follow her. By the way, my name is Lisa and I live in Alabama and have boy/girl twins who are 22 years old and are seniors in college! I love to laugh and it sounds like y'all do too!!

Hey Staci. You know that we will be there for sure!!! We can't wait.

I have always thought that Jake and Ellie looked more alike until you posted this new update. Jake and Maddi at the top of the page, side by side, look just alike.

I def. miss me some MO updates and surely miss seeing those girls that brighten my day. Please tell MO that your entire family is an inspiration and has truly blessed so many that you probably have no idea about, including me. I am from Minden, so have connections to Stanton and the Haynes family, but went to school in Funroe! Whoo, whoo! Anyway, hope all is well and great to hear, see, read about your family. Thank you for blessing all of us with your powerful story! If MO is taking more readers, I would love to be added. Lorimac211@hotmail.com

Okay I have convinced the Hubby that this year we are traveling to LA for the SHAKE FOR JAKE fundraiser. I'm so excited!! I even googled W MONROE to see how far it was from us. It was the same distance as our very well traveled DALLAS, TX trips!! ONLY 4 1/2 hours!!I can't wait to meet you guys and be apart of such a WONDERFUL event. SEE YOU GUYS IN JUNE!!!!

Staci as much as I love love love that you're posting more now...I MISS MO! Please tell her to come back out...don't let the "idiots" win. Geez, I don't want to admit this but I got the scrappin' kit from her and I didn't start it yet. I NEED to see the video to do it the "mo way". Anyhow....I wish I could do the shake 4 Jake...but to far away. I miss seeing Ellie beating up her sister; the cutest clothes; Todd the Bod, etc. etc. Well, in the meantime, can we continue the tour of your house? I HAVE to see that kitchen! hee hee.

thinking of Jake daily....
