No Comments Please

I started this blog for my own enjoyment. Although I understand those who do not support people putting their families out for everyone to see, it is a God given right. As for my family we have been in the public eye for quite sometime now. I'm not sure if there is anything people don't already know about us. For instance we have huge FAMILY support. We are there for each other in all we do. I for one was missing seeing my sister and my beautiful nieces due to illnesses in my family, so I decided to post the pictures myself. While I appreciate every one's support I do control my own actions!I do agree everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however please don't continue to fuel the fire. Every negative response will result in another negative response. Just let it end ALREADY!!!! We had a huge following when my son was diagnosed with cancer and these are the people I still write to everyday on this blog. They continue to support me and my family through all our trials and tribulations. More or less a huge prayer group! Let's try and let this blog be what it is, an outlet for me and hopefully enjoyment for you. I love reading about your families just as much as you like reading about mine. If you don't enjoy the blog, simply don't read it anymore. You will be missed, but we understand.
Thanks,
Staci

Preach it, Staci!! If "those people" would just leave us alone and let us be who we are, it would be great. I can't imagine why anybody would feel the need to put anything hurtful on yours or Mo's blog. I wish they would just go away and let us get back to our normal, happy selves. Please tell Mo we miss her and that we hope she'll be back soon. Thank you for keeping us posted and sending us cute pictures.

Staci,
I agree with the sentiments of many who have written and 100% agree with you. The negativity must stop because it just mutates and drags everyone down. I am so sorry that people have felt the need to drag you down. I personally hope that your followers will say a little prayer for those who can only feel better by tearing someone else down. I have followed your journey for a long time and I have always been impressed with your family support. Your family has endured so much and yet remains undivided. I reread Jake's caringbridge site from beginning to current this weekend. There is no way to write a negative comment about you or Mo after you finish. The love that exudes for your little boy from every member of your family is so obvious. The prayer vigils, the strong faith in God, the treks made to St.Jude by the whole family, the closeness of Jake and his MOMO, all witness to the tremendous love your family shares. All your children are so blessed to grow up in a family with so much love:) I will continue to pray for you all and appreciate your transparency when sharing your family:) I for one am a forever BELIEVER:) Hugs to you all. (if you are reading.....HEY MO:) Love, Dena

I loveyou guys. Don't know what's going on, but know that all of you have been in my thoughts lately. I find myself worrying about y'all a lot lately. (I'm telling you... I obviously need therapy...). Just know that I love all of you, and I'm saying a prayer!

Mbeaty19 said...

Like many before me have said: You and Mo are amazing mothers, wives, sisters, and friends. The emotional journey you have traveled have been a difficult one. Yet you let so many of us join you on that journey. You (and Mo) opened up about emotions, feelings, and life happenings that many have a hard time sharing. While many of us have 'seen' you at your worse and your best we continued the journey along side you. We let Jake and his family become part of our family. Unfortunately there are hateful people in this world that their only goal is to hurt. While there will be bad times and good ones in the end it's the believers that will conquer the weak and heartless. Keep the Raborns and Massey-Groves families in my thoughts and prayers. Going to continue reading and believing!!!

I seldom right anything here or on Mo's Blog and I certainly don't know what is happening with the blogs. I am so sorry not to get my Mo fix and glad to see you are posting more. I followed Jake's site till he died and many months after. Although I seldom write I have prayed with your family, I have cried in sadness and joy with your family. The addition of the three little girls was such a high point. I wish nothing but the best for your family. Stay strong and stay with your convictions. I hope all the "wrong" bloggers get off of here so the love can continue.

Stac-I'm so glad you are back online-still missing Mo's blog too though. You know, throughout Shelbi's ordeal, I have gotten comments and criticism, too. It's funny though, none of it was from other families who had been through childhood cancer. No, it was from sad, miserable people who didn't know the Lord as we do, and who found pleasure in daily causing strife to others. Because they had never walked in my shoes, I tossed their opinions away like tomorrow's trash. I am so proud of you for standing up and telling them to stick it! Good for you!!!

Hey Staci, I am so glad to have you back on...I can't wait to have Mel back. I hope my Hunter wasn't too much trouble this weekend. I had no idea Maddi was sick or I would have had them come to my house to get them out of your hair. Also, please tell me what you cooked...Hunter said it was some kind of spaghetti stuff and it was good. I asked if it was regular spaghetti or chicken spaghetti and being a teenage boy shrugged his shoulders and looked at me like I had 3 heads! I didn't think it was a hard question... Anyway, glad to have yall back!

I have followed your family for awhile now I do not even know, probally over 2 years. I absolutely fell in love with your family. I always wanted to hug Jake and race up to St Jude so I could play with him too. I cried the day Jake went to heaven and still get teary eyed when I read about him, he was a wonderful kid that lived life to the fullest and had a wonderful family to support him and to make him laugh (MEL) I am happy to see your updates and love to see the sweet little girl grow up, she looks like she could get a little silly herself, but she is cute and can get away with that. Hi Staci,

I work at a hospital in Iowa and one of our students years ago was participating in Dance Marathon. She gave me the caringbridge site of her sponsor family and from there I was linked to another family, and so on and so on until I found Jake’s page. I read faithfully every day and still check it and often times referred my friends and family to check things out. We are big into Nascar so knew the green car. I then started following Mo’s blog and now of course yours.

My brother has recently started a new business that I think both of you would be very interested in with your big boys in so many sports and Mo loving pictures as much as I do (my dad always says my kids my be afraid of thunder, but they’ll never be afraid of lightning because they always have a flash going off in their face). You can also check out my kids as they are “models” on his website www.sportraitsllc.com. He can put any picture, text, etc. on sports balls and ornaments. The ornaments are very hard and look like they are breakable, but they are actually an inflatable ball (great for houses with kids and pets). We’ve tested them and they don’t break. They also come in pearl so they are good year round depending on what you put on them (not just at Christmas) and what the grandparents are getting for every holiday from us.

Let me know if you have any questions or need more info. Having had a father who was in politics and then ran a racetrack for so many years, I know it’s easier said than done, but just ignore them. Personally I don’t understand if people don’t like what they read, why take the time to read it.

Thanks for sharing your family with us,

Shannon

I would love to be added to Mo's blog if she decides to stay private. I found Jake's CB site when my son's kindergarten teacher's child was diagnosed with leukemia. I have kept up with your family since then and feel like you are my neighbors. Please don't let the kooks get to you. And as many have said already, this shall pass.

I am a Jake believer from way back, one of the hundreds of strangers who fell in love with your precious boy. I found Mo's blog through Jake's CB page and then yours. It's so fun to see what you and your extended family is up to and get a glimpse at your beautiful kiddos. I feel like I know you! In fact my hubby and I were in Shreveport last year and we saw your picture on the casino wall (congrats on that awesome win, by the way!) and I literally yelled, "Oh there's Staci!" like we're buds who hang out all the time, ha!

I read this entry the day you posted it but checked back this morning to see if you had updated the blog again. I just had to tell you that what I saw this time as I pulled up the site is FOUR beautiful eyes and TWO adorable faces looking out at me. I never realized exactly how much Maddi looks like Jake! Wow! Seeing Jake with the (whatever!) on his head alongside Maddi's picture on your sidebar is amazing. Someone who didn't know Jake or read the text would probably think it was the same child!! Okay, so you know that but I just got goosebumps when I saw it and wanted to share! :)

Even though I visit your blog and Mel's blog daily (yes, I need to get a life, lol), I have no idea what happened to cause your families pain. It sounds like some hurtful comments were left. For that, I'm very sorry. I don't think anyone who blogs publicly can really avoid that. I don't know why mean people feel the need to criticize and hurt people. Mean people suck!!!!

Whether you or Melanie decide to keep blogging publicly or not, you will always be on my mind and in my prayers. Your families are precious. Thanks for letting us experience life at your household, it brings a smile to my face and many times a belly laugh.

Be well and may God richly bless you all and watch over those you love and who love you.

Gosh - can't imagine what has happened here recently (I've taken a computer break!). Anyhow, as with many of your followers, I have been here since Jake got sick - I'm just not a Mel type writer! :) I hope you keep us up on your haps, it would be sad to lose you and Mo Joy....

Just thinkging about you -- and hoping you are doing A-O-K. Thanks for your update too!

I have never written anything here or on Mo's Blog and I don't know what is happening with the blogs. I followed Jake's site unitl he became an angel. Although I don't write I have prayed for you, I have laughed and cried with you. The addition of the three little girls was so amazing after you loss and pain. I wish nothing but the best for your family. Stay strong and stay with your convictions. We all understand.

So glad you are back up. Have followed since I heard about Jake through Jay Rogers. Have enjoyed seeing your family grow and what you all have been through. Cancer has had a major impact on my life and just wish I could have always been as positive as you and had the support of such a wonderful family.

Staci,
That boy can still bring tears to my eyes. Thank you for posting those awesome pics of Jake. Oh how I miss that boy, I can not even imagine what you are going through each day. You are truly blessed in so many ways and our prayers are that you continue to be blessed in all the things you do. I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for posting the pics of Jake and the Shake information. We have our vacation planned already and we will be there, the kids are dying to come back down and play. Dylan is still using his Yes Ma'am's and it's even rubbed off on Matthew (I was shocked the first time my four year old said Yes Ma'am). We had a blast last year and are looking forward to another great time.
Sending you our love and prayers from tne snowy north (just got 6 inces of snow yesterday).
Cyndi (and family too)
