Need A Fix?

Ok so with all the withdrawls you guys have been talking about, I decided to give you a fix. I know it's not the same and Mel would not approve of the photos,(not the best I have in storage) but Maddi has had the stomache flu and we have been down the entire weekend. And now on top of everything else,I have the added pressure of keeping the blog up and going and let's face it, i'm not known for my everyday blogs! I have spent the whole weekend either in the bed or in a chair holding her, while we change and wash the sheets (lots of throwing up!). Poor thing, she feels terrible. I hope we are up and running around tomorrow. Until then Enjoy!!!!!!!

Argh. That stomach thing is just the pits. Our prayers are heading your way for a quick recovery and some good times ahead!

Thank you so much for updating. Look at it this way. There is no way Melanie (and I do love the woman) is ever going to catch up to the number of posts you have so far on your last thread.

Blessings to your family, and thank you so much for all you do.

And, I can't believe how much the boys have grown. The other day, I looked at a picture of them taken here at our house right after Jake's service when you all went to San Antonio. I can't believe how "grown up" they look now. Tell Melanie we miss her.

Staci,
This is the weirdest thing to me! I think that I am beginning to realize that we may all need therapy. CaringBridge was always such a "hug" for me. I clung to it, while loving your sweet baby and Hallie and Stanton and Emma Grace. My day couldn't start until I stopped by to see everyone. After you and Mo started the blogs, I still clung to the two of you. When Mom was diagnosed, CaringBridge was my best friend. I think it was the only "person" I really talked to, and it was where I looked for people to talk back. For months after she died, I couldn't tear myself away from CaringBridge. Mo's blog (and yours... since you came back from the beach) have been a part of my day.

I'm not sure if it's sweet or sad that I feel like a part of me is missing, when I'm not checking on your girls... (all three of them). You two have amazed me since the day I met you. Your energy is magnetic, and people cling to it.

Give MO a hug for me. If she stays away too long, I may start a therapy group. I am getting the feeling that I'm not the only one out there who consider both of you "friends" without ever REALLY hanging out with you!

Love you both, and I SOOO hope that Miss Maddi is feeling better.

Love your post. The one with the fishing stuff was REALLY cute. I am sorry Maddie has been sick. I also have become obsessed with keeping up with you and Mo. I hate that someone is ruining it. Hopefully, that can get resolved. As you know after being at St. Jude and meeting y'all, we instantly felt connected and can't imagine not knowing what's going on in your life. Have a good day.

My son had the stomach flu the day before he was supposed to have knee surgery. I called the nurse to see what I was supposed to do. I thought they would reschedule his surgery. She told me to give him some Benadryl that it would dry up the stuff in his stomach. It worked!!! I've done this several times since and it really does help.

So sorry sweet Maddi is sick, hope she is up and around soon. She is so cute in those boots and darling dress. Thanks for the Mo, Gabbi and Ellie pictures. I am praying for all of you. My grandmother always used to tell me to remember to tell myself "this too shall pass" even when things are good, but man I am ready for this unfair situation to pass, you and Mo are both great moms and an inspiration to all of us. Your families show us everyday what a family should be and make us a little kinder and more patient and forgiving. And of course: to laugh, love, and enjoy life. I am standing with you guys.

PS Hey Mo - we miss you. Good thoughts and lots of prayers pouring over you from Katy!

Staci,
I have followed Melanie's site for such a long time and I always check on Jake's site (everyday still). I could never quite get this comment thing to work with Mo's site and now are back from the beach (AWESOME JOB BY THE WAY) and all of a sudden everything works and I can leave a comment here.

I am so glad you are back from the beach and it looks like I've missed a lot. I have not been able to get to a computer for three weeks due to family emergencies (I will explain later).

Your posts are awesome and tell Mo that we miss her terribly and I feel like a part of me is missing without checking on her daily blog, but I completely understand and support her decision to do what she had to, to protect her family but give her our love and tell her we miss her.

Dylan loved all the pics of your boys, he really took to your boys when we were there and he can not wait to come back for the Shake this summer. I remember admiring the patience they had with Jake and I see that same patience with Maddi, they are great boys. Who by the way taught my boys some great manners, I still get yes Ma'am's to my requests for help.

Well, we will see you soon, until then we are sending our love, support and hugs across the miles and tell Mo we love her and miss her but will be patient for her to come back.

I have never posted before, but just couldn't let you think that everyone is not on to you, Miss Mo. Those were very nice pictures indeed, that you put up on Staci's site. Good job, keep the face out there. You didn't quite get the response you were hoping for. People are seriously more concerned with Maddi...as well they should be. Also, Staci knows how to spell stomach...I guess you don't. So, I thought I would post this, so all your gal pals could get in an uproar and you would get the attention you so obviously crave.

Staci..I am a long time Jake follower and I feel so bad that people are so insensitive to you...as to write that they are "grieving" over a stupid website. This to a wonderful Mom that really knows what it is like to grieve. I hope Maddi is feeling better. I'm sorry you were put in the middle of this. You are better than that.

Great pics of your family.

I'm sorry some people feel the right to say such negative things.

I don't know you in real life and I will likely never get the chance to meet you, but I have followed Jake's site and then Mo's blog and your blog when you started it.

You have an amazing family and the reason I like to read your blog and Mo's blog is because it helps me remember the really important things in life. I think its amazing how close you and Mo are and how close your whole group of family and friends are. Its a beautiful thing really to see such a tight group of friends and family.

Thanks for the fix. I've been missing those two cuties. Poor Maddi. Not fun being sick. We've had three sick kiddos for 3 weeks now and although I love the rocking and holding it's time to be done. I am sure you are ready also. Hang in there and hope to see your sis back on soon. :)

Hope Maddi is feeling better...I live far from you, but that stinking stomach bug is going around here, too. I was linked to Jake's Caringbridge site through Amazing Jacob (I think) and have prayed for your family for years now. I enjoy your family blogs, as well, and just wanted to add my support. Hang in there.

Hope your little Maddi is doing better. Thanks for the pictures. If the reader who mentioned a therapy group is serious, I think I need to join! I always come in to work and get started with an update on the Massey/Raborn clan. I sure miss those pictures and stories. Don't know what happened. But I think whoever is being nasty needs everyone's prayers because your entire family is the true definition of love. They must be in a pretty dark place. But you seem to be doing well on your blogging. Keep it up. I'll be checking in to get my daily fix.
